After the Hunstanton event, myself, Luke Whiteside and Holly Kennedy all cruised down to Richard Flindalls house as the wind was looking sweet. He took us to his local secret spot and showed us what he was always raving about. It was incredible. Heres the vid we shot from a couple of hours on the water filming each other. BKSA HUnstanton was the 4th round of the british tour. The event runs along side the Lifestyle event, which means there is skating, BMXing, Windsurfing and also a big music festival so there is always something going on. Friday there was no wind, so we jus chilled out. Saturday the wind started to pick up, By about 12, the tide was far enough out, and the wind was up, along with the rain. We started with the juniors, and then moved on to the ams. Throughout the afternoon, the wind got stronger and more consistent, and the sun came out, making a great day of competition. Sunday rolled round and it was time for the pros. By the time the tide had dropped enough it was nice 10m weather. My first heat was against Jon Bleiker. I had a good heat landing quite alot of tricks. I've changed my game plan in comps a little bit, and am sticking to the smaller handlepasses to really rack up the points, instead of going straight into the biggies. It worked and i made i through the heat. Unfortunatly though Jon snapped his board in half right at the end of the heat on a massive kiteloop pass. My next heat was against Mr Ned Taylor. I was really up for the heat as the water was getting flatter and the wind was increasing. I went out to test the conditions before the heat and i was stacked on my 10m. I thought i would take the sensible decision to changed down to my 8m.... ROOKIE ERROR. ALWAYS GO BIG ha. Just as the heat started the wind dropped again and i just couldnt keep upwind so kept having to run, and i just couldnt get any power. Ahh well. This put me through to the losers final against Rich Flindall, not bad for his first comp back in 50 million years. I went out nicely powered on the 10m and threw down. It was the best heat of my life. railey-blind,switch railey-blind, grabbed back-blind, switch back-blind,s-blind,nosegrab back-blind, shift 3, mobe, smobe, b313, kiteloop3, backloop kiteloop3. think thats about it :D I was proper stoked with the heat and has good me in a good head space for the next event in scotland. This leaves me 3rd overall this year so far, which is pretty good, considering i missed the first event due to exams. Cyas all in scotland. 123 07/05/2011
